The 2025 NFL Draft is finally over, and teams are still looking at ways to add more talent to the roster. The UDFA market is strong, and teams find more playmakers there every year.
The Chiefs have been handing out some guarantees to make sure they lock down these guys but they have also invited countless players to rookie workouts. According to Aaron Wilson, Brown tight end Mark Mahoney was invited to the Chiefs 'rookie minicamp.
Rookie minicamp is from May 4th to May 6th, which will give these players a shot to impress the coaching staff.

Chiefs Will Bring in Mark Mahoney for Rookie Minicamp
Mahoney played wide receiver at Brown University from 2021-2024, where he posted 104 receptions for 1,172 receiving yards and eight touchdowns. He's listed at 6-foot-5, 240 pounds and could be better utilized as a tight end at the next level.
That would give him a better shot at sticking on the roster from that perspective. Travis Kelce, Noah Gray, Jared Wiley, and Anthony Firkser are the four tight ends on the active roster. Firkser is on a one-year, $1.17 million deal, with Wiley rehabbing his way back from a torn ACL.
The bottom two spots in the tight end room are up for grabs, and Mahoney will get a chance to impress the coaching staff.
Mahoney was also invited to the rookie minicamp by the Miami Dolphins, but you'll have to assume the Chiefs gain the edge between the two teams.
During the 2024 regular season, Mahoney was ranked sixth in the Ivy League in receiving yards (565) with five touchdowns and 11.8 yards per reception. He has shown the ability to be the focal point of Brown's passing attack and that helped him land on NFL teams' radar.
We'll have to see if he accepts the Chiefs' invite but he'll have an uphill climb regardless of where he decides to go.
