The Kansas City Chiefs have already enjoyed an excellent start to the 2025 NFL Draft, rebuilding the trenches in securing a left tackle of the future in Josh Simmons and finding Chris Jones a running mate in Omarr Norman-Lott.

By adding quality defenders like cornerback Nohl Williams and defensive end Ashton Gilotte as well, Kansas City has ensured this draft class will have tremendous upside even with four rounds left to go.

That said, there is still plenty of value left on the board. It's expected that the Chiefs will target some skill-position players on Saturday, and that could leave one bust on the chopping block throughout the summer.

Chiefs Must Draft Stanford WR Elic Ayomanor and Kick Skyy Moore to Curb

Stanford star wide receiver Elic Ayomanor, whom many projected to be a potential second-round selection, is still available entering the fourth round. At six-foot-two and 210 pounds, he's incredible at making contested catches and has a knack for showing up in the biggest moments.

Against No. 2 overall pick Travis Hunter and Colorado in 2023, for example, Ayomanor caught 13 passes for 294 yards (a school record) and three TDs. He finished the 2024 campaign with just 63 receptions for 831 yards and six TDs, though the Cardinal's poor quarterback play had a lot to do with the limited production. With Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid calling the shots, Ayomanor could become one of the AFC's most dominant wideouts. For a fourth-round pick, that's a swing worth taking.

However, that'd likely mean the end of Skyy Moore's time with the organization. The 2022 second-round selection has just one score during his career and is considered to be one of general manager Brett Veach's worst misses. Moore has never gained Mahomes' trust, and he's been injury-prone as well while generally being ineffective.

A wide receiver room of Rashee Rice, Xavier Worthy, Hollywood Brown, and Ayomanor could be deadly. At this stage in the draft, the Stanford graduate is a worthy dart throw who could quickly become one of Mahomes' favorite targets.
