The Kansas City Chiefs haven’t had the best luck with injuries this season on offense. They’ve lost their two starting receivers (Hollywood Brown and Rashee Rice) to season-ending injuries.

The Chiefs also saw veteran wideout Juju Smith-Schuster re-aggravate his hamstring injury in their Week 7 win over the San Francisco 49ers. Based on those injuries, Kansas City cannot afford another hit on offense.

According to Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com, the Chiefs listed veteran running back Kareem Hunt as limited with a hip injury in Wednesday’s practice. However, Derrick also said he doesn’t believe Hunt’s limited participation tag is serious.

The 29-year-old running back was on the Week 5 injury report with a shoulder injury. He was listed as a limited participant through the first two days of practice but ended the week as a full participant.

Hunt still played against the New Orleans Saints, recording 102 rushing yards and a touchdown in 27 carries. He also had a 15-yard reception in the primetime contest.

With that in mind, Chiefs fans shouldn’t be worried about Hunt’s latest stint on the injury. For a guy who didn’t play in the preseason or participate in training camp, he’s done well after logging 68 touches through his first three games with Kansas City.

The Chiefs will likely give him a heavy workload on Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders, who have allowed 136.7 rushing yards per game this season (23rd in the NFL). In last week's win against San Francisco, Hunt had 78 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries.
