The Kansas City Chiefs have a huge AFC West contest against the Denver Broncos happening in Week 11. The Chiefs had extra time to prepare for this game, as they had their bye in Week 10.

The Broncos will be down several starters in this divisional bout, while the Chiefs could have rookie left tackle Josh Simmons back in the lineup.

Kansas City will also have receiver Xavier Worthy ready for this game after a practice scare. Pete Sweeney of the Kansas City Star reported on Friday that Worthy just tweaked his ankle on Thursday, but he did everything in Friday's practice. And he'll be ready to roll against the Broncos.

Xavier Worthy Will Be on the Field for Chiefs in Week 11

And in a game that the Chiefs really need to get a win, having your speedy playmaker out there is a bonus. The Broncos have one of the best defenses in the league, as they are third in the NFL in total defense (270.7) and sixth in the pass defense (179.5). They are leading the league in team sacks (46), so having a receiver who can get open quickly is a huge plus.

Since Rashee Rice returned, he has become a focal point in the passing attack, yet what Worthy brings to the offense is huge. His 4.21 40-yard dash speed is dynamic. This season, he recorded 256 receiving yards and one touchdown in 2025.

While those numbers are lower than what fans expected thus far in 2025, he still has a great skill set. The collection of Worthy, Rice, and Hollywood Brown is more explosive, especially since the Chiefs will be without Isiah Pacheco.

Considering the rushing attack has been underwhelming this season, the passing game may be the way the Chiefs can come away with a win in this contest. Especially since the Broncos will have no Patrick Surtain II, that's another advantage that will work in Kansas City's favor.

Every divisional matchup is tough, and against a red-hot Broncos team that has won seven straight games, you need every playmaker available.

Although it hasn't been the most productive season for Worthy, every game presents a new opportunity. And since he avoided anything serious, he'll be ready to roll for Kansas City, and that's what fans want to see, especially coming off a bye week.
