Chiefs Announce Anthem Singer for Texans Showdown in Week 16
By Joe Summers
The Chiefs are getting set for their final home game (in the regular season), taking on the Texans at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium and we now know what exciting pre-game festivities the team has planned.
Louisiana singer Justin Garner will sing the national anthem while former star WR Dwayne Bowe will be the drum honoree.
Garner has an album set to be released in January and has performed at various sporting events across the country. Since it's a massive matchup with huge implications on the playoff standings, Arrowhead's crowd should be absolutely rocking.

Honoring Bowe will be a special moment for many fans, new and old alike. During eight years with the Chiefs, Bowe caught 532 passes for 7,155 yards and 44 TDs, being named to one Pro Bowl and All-Pro team each.
He's one of the best receivers in franchise history. While Bowe played too early to experience the success of the last decade, he's still frequently seen on social media cheering the organization on. He's obviously excited for the opportunity to bang the drum and receive another standing ovation.
The Chiefs are favored following the news that Patrick Mahomes would likely play. Should they win, they'll finish undefeated at home in the regular season. Houston is a playoff team and this'll be a tough game but considering the importance of the game, you can feel confident in a Kansas City victory.
If the Chiefs win two more games, they'll clinch the No. 1 seed in the AFC. Given the injuries that've plagued the roster, the ability to rest starters in Week 18 before getting a first-round bye in the playoffs would give numerous guys extra time to heal, including Mahomes.
With the excitement in the stadium, players and fans alike will be focused on the task at hand.
