By Joe Summers
The Chiefs officially revealed their pre-game festivity plans for a Black Friday showdown with the Las Vegas Raiders at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City.
Four-time All-Pro RT Mitchell Schwartz, who won a Super Bowl with the team in 2020, will serve as the drum honoree while The Bonner Family choir group will sing the national anthem and perform at halftime.
Kickoff is at 2:00 PM CT and will be available on KSHB 41 in the local market. Otherwise, it'll be available on Amazon Prime Video via stream.
Chiefs Reveal National Anthem Singer vs. Raiders on Black Friday
The Bonner Family is recognized as one of Utah's most popular family musical ensembles, specializing in gospel music. They've performed around the world for years and now will take center stage for the marquee NFL matchup of the day.
It's a thrilling time for Chiefs fans, who expect to welcome back both RB Isiah Pacheco and DE Charles Omenihu from injury. The Raiders are in the midst of a miserable season as perhaps the worst team in the league, giving Kansas City a perfect opportunity to earn a large victory over an inferior opponent.
For Schwartz, it's a special moment of recognition for a beloved player who helped transform the offense and protect Patrick Mahomes. Fans know the thrill of the pre-game drum ceremony, giving what should be a fired up crowd a brief chance to express appreciation for his contributions to the organization.
FanDuel Sportsbook has the Chiefs listed as 12.5-point favorites with massive -850 odds on the moneyline, giving Kansas City an 89.47% chance of winning using implied probability.
