The Chiefs open up Day 2 with a big trade, sending their own 66th-overall and 95th-overall picks to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the No. 53 selection.
Round 2, Pick 53 - Tyleik Williams, Defensive Tackle, Ohio State
The 2025 defensive tackle class is flooded with talent and is maybe the best class I have ever seen. I have five guys on my board with top-25 grades: Mason Graham, Kenneth Grant, Walter Nolen, Derek Harmon, and Tyleik Williams. It is likely that one of these guys falls in the draft, and if one of them is available for the Chiefs, the team may feel like they can't pass on them.
Williams is a unique athlete who displayed elite upside on the interior of the defensive line. He comes in at 6-foot-3, 325 pounds, and moves incredibly well for a guy of his size. He is a quality pass rusher with impressive lateral movement to win early on snaps but is more than capable of using his size and mixing in power.
The defensive line for Ohio State was maybe the best in the nation with at least three guys likely going in the top 100 and in my opinion, he was the best player they had. Williams would be a great fit on the Chiefs line next to Chris Jones and would allow Spags to get even more creative with the defense in 2025. In this scenario, he makes it past pick fifty and Brett Veach trades up and stops him from falling any further.
Round 2, Pick 63 - Elic Ayomanor, Wide Receiver, Stanford
I have been high on Ayomanor since his dominant performance against Colorado and Travis Hunter and he has been a top-five wide receiver in this year's class for me all year.
This is a unique wide receiver class that may not have the top-end upside blue-chip prospects that we saw in last year's class, but it still has several top names that can contribute on day one. I only have one receiver in my top 25 but seven in my top 50. If the Chiefs are looking to add a contributing wide receiver, day two is exactly where they should be looking to do it.
Kansas City should be looking to add a pure outside receiver to help complement Xavier Worthy, Rashee Rice, and Hollywood Brown in 2025 and beyond. Ayomanor can do just that as he is a very polished outside receiver who has a great blend of speed, quickness, and physicality that he can use to make big plays on the ball and impact the game. He is a great pass-catcher who gives 100% on every down and is also one of the best run-blocking receivers in the entire draft.
Ayomanor is exactly the type of receiver that the Chiefs should be looking to add in the draft and will fit perfectly in Andy Reid's offense. It is likely he will go a little higher in the second round, but in this scenario, the Chiefs get a dream come true, and he makes it to them at 63. We already know that Ayomanor looks good in red, and if he makes it to pick 63, there should be very little debate in the Kansas City war room about who to draft.
