Chiefs 7-Round Mock Draft Entering 2025 Combine: KC Swings Trade to Stock Up on Picks

As we are quickly approaching the combine, I put together another Chiefs 7 round mock draft. This time there is a bit of a twist, with the team making a big trade to add some picks on day 2.

Round Three, Pick 88: Boston College T, Ozzy Trapilo

In case I haven’t shown it yet in this mock draft or my previous ones, I love players in the draft that have great athletic traits. There is maybe no better example of this from the 2025 class than Ozzy Trapilo, the 6’8/320-pound OT from Boston College.

Left tackle was a revolving door for the Chiefs this season, between Thuney, Humphries, Morris and Suamataia, making this a position that needs improvement this offseason.

Trapilo is one of the better pass protectors in the class who has impressive movement for a guy with his frame. He has smooth movement skills and a great kick slide to mirror the movements of faster edge rushers as well as good anchoring skills against strong pass rushers.

The biggest concern for Trapilo is his lack of arm length, not hitting the 34-inch in benchmark many teams look for, but his film does not lie.

Round Three, Pick 95: Maryland WR, Tai Felton

Felton was one of the most productive WRs in the nation this season at the University of Maryland, where he has proven to be a true do it all receiver throughout his career. Felton is one of the best route runners in the class, with great hands and versatility to line up all over the field. He has good speed and is quick in and out of his breaks, with those skills leading to some gunner worked in college.

The Chiefs' WR room has been inconsistent to say the least over the last few seasons, and they are looking to turn a corner in 2025. Felton has the route running and movement skills to play in the slot but also has the size and physicality to play on the outside.

The addition of Xavier Worthy gave the Chiefs a deep threat and with Rashee Rice returning from injury next year, the addition of Felton would give them a great core group going forward.
