Chiefs News: Mike Borgonzi and Matt Nagy Will Interview With NY Jets on Wednesday
Nagy has been in the NFL since 2008, having stops with the Philadelphia Eagles, Chicago Bears, and Chiefs. He was the head coach for the Bears from 2018-2021, logging a 34-31 record and two playoff appearances. The 46-year-old returned to Kansas City in 2023 but has been a quality member of that coaching staff.
Meanwhile, Borgonzi has been with the Chiefs since 2009. He's held different roles as an Administrator of college scouting, Manager of football operations, Assistant director of pro scouting, and Director of player personnel/football operations. Prior to the 2021 season, he was promoted to Assistant General Manager and helped Brett Veach in multiple aspects.
He currently looks over and directs the team's college and professional scouting operations while helping with the team's roster management and player acquisition via the NFL Draft, NFL free agency, street free agency, waiver claims, and trades.
These two guys are names that are catching attention around the league and are using the bye week to interview.
