The Chiefs are getting set to take on the Broncos in Week 18 before turning their full attention to the playoffs and Andy Reid shared a positive piece of injury news on Monday.

Speaking to the media, Reid told reporters that he had no new injuries to report. Considering how many ailments Kansas City has already dealt with, the roster is already thin and just starting to get healthier. New, unexpected injuries could derail the three-peat bid, so this is a fantastic update that should make fans feel relief.

Reid reportedly intends to rest the team's starters against Denver. Couple that with the first-round bye, and the Chiefs will have over three weeks to heal up before the AFC Divisional Round.

Andy Reid Says Chiefs Have No New Injuries Entering Week 18

For the most part, the Chiefs' roster is set. Hollywood Brown returned and has looked in sync with the rest of the skill-position group, while guys like Chris Jones are dealing with nagging injuries but nothing overly serious.

Patrick Mahomes' ankle is getting better by the day, leaving Rashee Rice and Jaylen Watson as the only major question marks. Watson's recent social media activity led to rumors that he could be nearing a return, though that still feels like an uphill battle.

Once Joe Thuney moved over to left tackle and Mike Caliendo stepped in at guard, the major offensive line problems started to improve. It's not yet clear whether Reid intends to use that lineup in the postseason or put D.J. Humphries in at tackle, but that likely depends on how practice goes over the next few weeks.

Regardless, the team's priority this week is ensuring no additional injuries happen at practice or in the meaningless Week 18 game. The Chiefs are betting favorites to win the Super Bowl (+370) at FanDuel Sportsbook, seemingly peaking at the perfect time.

They're three wins away from immortality and at this point, injuries appear to be the only thing that could slow this group down. Here's hoping Reid's further updates throughout the week bring the same good news.
