Andy Reid Gives Big Chiefs Injury Update After AFC Championship

The Kansas City Chiefs are headed back to the Super Bowl after defeating the Buffalo Bills 32-29 on Sunday. This tense battle saw only one injury for either side, when Bills cornerback Christian Benford left in the first quarter with a concussion. That said, there is always a chance that a player ends up with an injury the day after the game.
Luckily for the Chiefs, it sounds like every player is healthy heading into the Super Bowl. On Monday, head coach Andy Reid confirmed this during his press conference, saying, " I have no injuries to mention to you...We came out of the game pretty clean."

Kansas City Chiefs Escape AFC Championship Injury-Free
Reid confirming no new injuries have popped up is great news for the Chiefs. During the regular season, it seemed like every week, a new player would pop up on the injury report after a game. Fortunately for Kansas City, their injury misfortune seems to have ended for the playoffs, as this is their second week in a row without an injury.
Nonetheless, even if Kansas City were to have sustained an injury on Sunday, that player would have healed in time for the Super Bowl unless it was a season-ending ailment. With the two-week window between Championship Sunday and the Super Bowl, players have enough time to rest, and teams have plenty of time to prepare.
Typically, having an extra week to prepare favors Reid and the Chiefs. As a result, Kansas City's lack of injuries could prove to be a major advantage on Super Bowl Sunday.
