The Kansas City Chiefs wrapped up their preseason schedule with a third-straight loss, after falling 29-27 to the Chicago Bears. Yet, the Chiefs managed to achieve the most important goal of the game: suffering no injuries.

Heading into a preseason game where the starters were going to play significant reps, there was some concern among Chiefs fans about potential injuries. Fortunately, head coach Andy Reid announced on Friday night that there were exactly zero injuries for Kansas City.

Andy Reid Reveals Zero Injuries in Chiefs' Preseason Finale

The Chiefs already lost Deon Bush and Felix Anudike-Uzomah to season-ending injuries suffered in preseason games. For a team that already lost contributors for the season in the previous few weeks, it was understandable to have some level of concern heading into Friday's game. The fact that the Chiefs came out of the game intact is a great sign, as they rev up their preparations for their season opener in Brazil against the Los Angeles Chargers.

This isn't to mean that the Chiefs aren't dealing with injuries ahead of the season. Wide receivers Jalen Royals and Hollywood Brown are nursing lower-body injuries and didn't suit up on Friday. Safety Mike Edwards, defensive tackle Omarr Norman-Lott, Jack Cochrane, Nazeeh Johnson, and Drue Tranquill are still banged up and sat out against the Bears.

Kansas City now has less than two weeks before its season opener. The availability of their injured players remains to be seen, but it's safe to say that the Chiefs have avoided the worst. Andy Reid will likely have his full complement of projected starters in Week 1.

Before he has to make any decisions, however, he has to make the call for the final 53-man roster. The deadline for the roster cutdown is Tuesday, Aug. 26. Having an entirely healthy roster will certainly be a complicating factor in the already-difficult decisions.
