The Kansas City Chiefs' offense has woken up over the past two games, scoring a combined 65 points against the Baltimore Ravens and Jacksonville Jaguars. Although it's a small sample size, it is nice to see the Chiefs' offense clicking again before the season's halfway point.

Even though the Chiefs scored 28 points in their Week 5 loss to the Jaguars, there's still room for improvement. Kansas City left points on the field, and on Wednesday, head coach Andy Reid addressed this at the end of Wednesday's press conference, saying, "We gotta score more points," according to KSHB 41 News' McKenzie Nelson.

Every member of Chiefs Kingdom agrees with Reid's statement, even if he's partly to blame for the issue.

Andy Reid Admits the Chiefs Need to Score More Points

Chiefs fans are more than familiar with the team leaving points on the board, including quarterback Patrick Mahomes' 99-yard Pick-6 on Monday night. That play was a 14-point swing and gave the momentum back to Jacksonville. Though that moment isn't on Reid, there are a couple of other moments where he could have pressed his foot on the gas pedal, and he didn't.

The first of these moments came on the opening drive of the game on a fourth-and-two from the Jaguars' 46-yard line. Instead of going for it, Reid elected to punt even though the Chiefs' offense was humming.

Additionally, the Chiefs were coming off a game where they went 4-for-4 on fourth downs. Going for it early would have set the tone for the game. But Reid decided to punt, which only netted 32 yards. Then, on their opening drive in the third quarter, Kansas City was given another opportunity to go for it on fourth-and-two.

However, this time the Chiefs were on their own 41-yard line. Still, many fans wanted to see Reid & Co. take a risk and go for it. If they had gone for it and made it, the Chiefs could have captured the momentum. Rather than keeping their offense on the field, Reid chose to punt again, and the Jaguars went on to score a touchdown.

Reid's lack of aggressiveness on Monday night not only upset fans but also hurt their chances of winning. If Kansas City had gone for it on at least one of those fourth-and-short plays, it may have come out victorious. Fans can't dwell on what-ifs, though, and it'll be up to the Chiefs' coaching staff to rebuild trust and confidence sooner rather than later.

Chiefs Kingdom would love to see Reid be more aggressive on fourth and short to help set up more victories. If not, Kansas City might continue to struggle consistently scoring points.
