7 Wide Receivers the Chiefs Must Consider in 2025 NFL Draft

The 2025 NFL draft class has talent from top to bottom and adding a wide receiver will be one of the Chiefs biggest priorities in the draft in 2025.

3. Savion Williams

Savion Williams is up there with Tai Felton at the top of the "My Guys" list and is an electric playmaker with the upside to be one of the best players in the draft this year. Williams has proven to be an incredibly talented player at a variety of spots, receiver, and running back. Williams has not had great production, and his skillet is a unique one and is something that will have to be worked into an offense and I think there is no one better to do so than Andy Reid.

In my opinion, Williams is easily the best contested-catch receiver in the draft which is something that could bring a lot of value to the Chiefs wide receiver room. Williams is also skilled with the ball and can be used as a running back or even as a wildcat QB, something that could be valuable in short-yardage situations as the Chiefs don't use a true QB sneak. I think the Chiefs are maybe the best fit in the draft for Savion Williams and I think he would be an ideal pick-up for them on day two.

4. Tai Felton

Tai Felton is at the very top of the “my guys” list in this year's draft, and I would be over the moon if he was in a Chiefs jersey next season. Felton was one of the most productive receivers in the BIG 10 last season where he put up over 600 yards in his first four games. He also had just shy of 100 receptions this season and found ways to get open from a variety of spots with a large route tree.

Coming into this year, Felton was viewed as a late Day 3 guy, but after his incredible season, his stock has skyrocketed. Felton then went to the Senior Bowl and the combine where he continued to boost his draft stock. Felton ran a 4.37 40-yard dash and displayed great burst in his broad and vertical jump. The Chiefs need a receiver who can do it all, Felton's athletic ability and ability to get open, make him one of the most underrated players in the draft, and would be a great Day-Two addition for the Chiefs.

5. Dont’e Thornton

Thornton is a very raw prospect who will need development, but has athletic upside through the roof. Thornton has had minimal production throughout his career between his time at Oregon and Tennessee totaling less than 1500 yards in his four-year college career. But Thorntons raw athletic ability is elite, with a massive frame and incredible movement skills that give him the potential to be an incredible NFL player.

Thornton's stock shot up after the combine when he came in at a legit six feet five inches with incredible movement skills for his size. Thornton ran a whopping 4.30 40-yard dash which was the second-best of all the receivers at the combine. There are concerns with Thornton that include some drops and a limited route tree, but the athletic upside is clearly there. It may take some work, but if the Chiefs can get Thornton on day three he has the potential to be a big-time steal.
