4 Teams Who Should Be Jealous of Chiefs' Kareem Hunt Success

3. Cleveland Browns
With Nick Chubb on the PUP list for all of training camp and recently getting activated, it made sense for the Browns to bring back Hunt.
The veteran running back was outstanding last year playing the RB2 role behind Jerome Ford, who took over as the starter. Hunt had 411 rushing yards and nine touchdowns on 135 carries in 2023.
Hunt wasn’t utilized much in the passing game last season, but it didn’t matter as all nine TDs came inside the red zone. Fast forward to this season and Cleveland’s rushing offense is ranked 27th (96.6 yards per game).
Ford hasn’t put up ridiculous rushing performances this season but has 250 rushing yards and a touchdown with a 5.2 yards per carry average. However, D’Onta Foreman, who was signed to a one-year deal in free agency and is the RB2 currently, has a 3.2 YPC.
The Browns wanted to go in a different direction this offseason, by signing Foreman and Nyheim Hines to one-year deals, but Hunt could’ve provided a spark to that struggling offense.
