DJ Uiagalelei - Florida State

I am 100% sure that some people saw this name and instantly closed the article, but hear me out. DJU has been one of the most hated players in all of college football throughout his career, and after a disastrous season at Florida State this season, many fans and analysts have given up hope. But if the Chiefs are able to get their hands on him as a UDFA, I still think there is something there if a team gave him a legitimate shot to develop.

Coming out of college, DJ was the number two high school player in the nation and was considered the heir to Trevor Lawrence at Clemson. Let's just say this did not go according to plan and DJ was promptly replaced by Cade Klubnik. DJ then found his way to Oregon State where I thought he looked good but still needed some work. That's when everything hit the fan...

Simply put, Florida State was AWFUL this season, and DJ certainly did not help his draft stock with his performance this season. To pile salt into the wound, DJ had surgery on his throwing hand and has not been able to participate in many offseason showcases.

But despite all that, I am willing to go out on a limb and say that he is worth a shot. Throughout his career, we have seen flashes, and signs that he could be all that was promised when he was coming out of high school. The biggest struggle for DJU has always been turnovers, and he will need to find consistency as right now he has just about zero. But if any team can work with a raw, talented, gunslinging undisciplined quarterback, it's Andy Reid, Patrick Mahomes, and the Kansas City Chiefs. He would be a great UDFA pickup who could compete for a roster spot down the line.
