The Kansas City Chiefs face a long, uncertain offseason after a disappointing meltdown in the Super Bowl, and they've already made a series of roster moves following the start of the offseason.

Fans are understandably upset about the unfortunate result, demanding changes to ensure the team is back atop the NFL sooner than later. With how many pending free agents the team has, it's reasonable to expect major upgrades.

Some of those upgrades will naturally come as a result of certain players leaving. With that in mind, let's look at a handful of Chiefs whose exits will represent additions by subtraction in 2025.

1. Skyy Moore, WR

Unfortunately for Skyy Moore, who by all accounts seems respected and well-liked by his teammates, he's already cemented his status as one of the worst draft picks of general manager Brett Veach's tenure. Originally selected in the second round in 2022 out of Western Michigan, Moore appeared in only six games this year before being placed on injured reserve with a season-ending injury.

That ailment was unfortunate timing for the 24-year-old wideout, as 2024 was pivotal for Moore's standing on the team. He has only one year left on his contract with a dead cap hit of under $500,000 should the Chiefs decide to move on, which looks increasingly likely at this point.

In three seasons, Moore has caught only 43 passes for 494 yards and one TD. After the immediate success of fellow young receivers Rashee Rice and Xavier Worthy, it's hard to blame Moore's struggles on the coaching staff or offensive supporting cast. Instead, his lack of chemistry with Patrick Mahomes and poor 58.1% catch rate have left Moore at the bottom of the depth chart.

While the team has several free agents at the position, it's hard to see Moore finding a spot on the roster unless he makes big strides in special teams. Rice and Worthy are guaranteed to be on the team and Moore has to compete with fellow free agents like DeAndre Hopkins, Marquise 'Hollywood' Brown, Mecole Hardman, Justin Watson, and JuJu Smith-Schuster all before factoring in potential acquisitions.

The writing is on the wall for Moore and based on how poorly he's played, it's best for both parties to find a fresh start elsewhere.
