Trade One of Their RBs

After struggling in the running back room early in the season, the Chiefs now have an embarrassment of riches in their rushing rotation.

After Isiah Pacheco went down with an injury, the Chiefs running game had a lot of question marks surrounding it. With rookie Carson Steele, newly acquired Samaje Perine, and the latest signing Kareem Hunt, the Chiefs had a completely different running back rotation from the year before.

On top of the three mentioned above, the Chiefs are getting Clyde Edwards-Helaire back. That is four running backs worthy of playing time and carries.

Hunt has already established himself as the RB1 after going for 180 yards and scoring three touchdowns in the last two games. Steele continued to get some carries while Perine was more of a threat in the passing game. Once Edwards-Helaire returns, however, it will be hard to find room for all of these talented playmakers.

Despite only being traded to the Chiefs a few months prior, Perine may be the odd man out here. He should still have some trade value around the league, potentially allowing the Chiefs to get a capable player in return.
