3 Matchups to Watch in Chiefs vs. Bills in Week 11
2. DeAndre Hopkins vs. Bills Secondary
Last week, DeAndre Hopkins was covered by one of the NFL's best cornerbacks, Patrick Surtain II, all day. Hopkins was held to only four catches on five targets for 56 yards by Surtain. Although Hopkins was still pretty effective against Surtain, it didn't look anything like the week prior.
In Week 9 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Hopkins had eight catches on nine targets for 86 yards and two touchdowns. That performance got fans excited for what was to come for Hopkins on the Chiefs.
Fortunately, Buffalo doesn't have a cornerback at the level of Surtain. The Bills' top two cornerbacks are Rasul Douglas and Christian Benford. While Benford is the younger player has given up fewer yards per reception than Douglas has this season. That might make him a slightly better matchup for Hopkins.
With that being said, the Bills are a heavy zone coverage team, which means one cornerback might not travel with Hopkins the whole game. So, Hopkins is likely to face both Benford and Douglas in coverage.
Either way, Hopkins should be in line for another high-volume game against the Bills. As long as Hopkins capitalizes on these opportunities, the Chiefs offense should keep pace with the Bills.
