2. Trent McDuffie - CB

Trent McDuffie is a First-Team All-Pro and arguably the league's top cornerback. However, we just watched the worst game of his young career. Broncos WR Courtland Sutton worked him all afternoon, finishing with six catches for 70 yards and a TD.

Sutton beat McDuffie on a critical third-down on the final drive. It should've ended the game if not for Mike Danna's heroics on the blocked field goal, and McDuffie had massive problems staying in front of Denver's leading receiver.

He's earned the benefit of the doubt and remains an elite defender, yet McDuffie's struggles in coverage were a major reason the Broncos had such a good chance to win.

Entering Sunday, McDuffie had surrendered just a 58.5% completion percentage and 81.4 passer rating when targeted. Those numbers are bound to get worse after Sutton's great game, and it'll be interesting to see how McDuffie responds next Sunday against the Bills.

You can count the number of bad games in McDuffie's career on one hand. They almost never happen, which made this effort so confusing.

He'll be fine, as will the defense, though Sutton may have exposed a way to target McDuffie that he'll need to correct before the playoffs.
