3. J.C. Jackson
Still only 28 years old, J.C. Jackson is the youngest of these options but admittedly, his numerous injuries derailed his career. If there's even a small chance that Kansas City could help him regain his All-Pro form, it's worth trying.
The former undrafted free agent was a revelation for the Patriots before signing a huge contract with the Chargers. Injuries struck at that point but he was able to appear in 10 games in 2023, notching nine deflected passes while allowing only a 54.7% completion percentage.
There's always risk when dealing with free agents at this point in the season. However, there's no denying Jackson's upside.

This is a player who notched a stellar 17 interceptions and 37 deflected passes over a two-year stretch in 2020 and 2021. Jackson has a nose for the ball and his declining athleticism could be hidden by Steve Spagnuolo's scheme.
The Chiefs may feel comfortable with the guys they have in the building. They've still got the NFL's top defense and are undefeated, after all. That being said, signing a free agent cornerback is the best way to ensure no stone is left unturned in pursuit of a three-peat.
