Unstoppable force, meet extremely movable object.

This week’s Chiefs vs. Jets matchup looks like a complete mismatch, with Zach Wilson’s inept offense taking on a ferocious Kansas City defense that’s allowing less than 15 points per game on average.

New York has just 10 points in each of its last two games. The Chiefs have one critical advantage defensively that’s sure to keep the Jets’ offense at bay once again this week.

Chiefs’ Pass Rush in For Monster Day

Led by Chris Jones and George Karlaftis, the Chiefs’ pass rush has been sensational this season. Karlaftis just had a career-high eight pressures against Chicago and should be in line for another monster day against perhaps the worst offensive line in the league.

In that composite score of three different pass-blocking metrics, the Jets are dead last by a sizable margin. Wilson has been sacked eight times already while averaging just 5.6 yards per attempt, so the Chiefs are in a great position to FEAST in Week 4.

Kansas City doesn’t need to respect the deep passing game, allowing more opportunities to tee off with blitzes and put pressure on Wilson. This will be Chris Jones’ third game back from his holdout, so the stars are aligning for a monster game from Sack Nation.

Steve Spagnuolo’s creative schemes should overwhelm the Jets, and I don’t expect New York to put up many points on Sunday.

This is shaping up to be another blowout, provided the offense stays steady and doesn’t turn the ball over. Kansas City’s defense has been the driving force of these last two weeks and I anticipate a similar story unfolding against the Jets.

Fans have waited for years to see a defense this good. All evidence points to this week being another sparkling example of just how ferocious this unit can be.
