3 Chiefs Who Deserve More Playing Time

Yes, Travis Kelce is still the league’s best tight end and far superior to Gray. But we’re quickly seeing evidence of Kelce’s age as he battles the knee injury and I’d much rather keep him healthy for the playoffs than use him constantly in Week 3.

Gray played 61% of snaps to Kelce’s 64% and looked spry, catching three passes for 38 yards including one on third down to move the chains.

Sunday will be a relatively meaningless contest against one of the worst teams in the NFL. I’d much rather see Gray on the field than Kelce so that the superstar can rest his knee and get healthy for the long season.

Gray has always looked reliable when given the opportunity and the organization has raved about his development.
