Chris Jones Breaks Silence With Strong Message Ahead of Week 1
Chris Jones has posted plenty of cryptic tweets and Instagram posts during his holdout, but until this morning he had not yet spoken publicly about the situation.
Because nothing about any of this makes sense, he was surrounded by reporters at The Plaza in Kansas City during an event for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kansas City, making strong statements and directly answering questions for the first time since the Super Bowl.

He made it clear that the Chiefs had not met his contract demands, though his affable demeanor painted the picture of a player who was not overly stressed. The Lions are coming to town tomorrow, but Jones was still ready to crack a smile and a joke.

It’s incredibly unlikely that Jones will suit up tomorrow in the season opener, but his comments suggest it won’t take much time to catch up to speed once he does report.
