All he does is win!

The Denver Nuggets captured their first championship in franchise history last night, putting Kansas’ own Christian Braun in elite company as an all-time winner.

After scoring seven points in a series-high 24 minutes to clinch the Finals, Braun joins Bill Russell, Magic Johnson, Henry Bibby, and Billy Thompson as the only players to win an NCAA and NBA title in back-to-back seasons.

Christian Braun Championship Pedigree

No stranger to big moments, Braun has now won a championship at every level of basketball he’s played. Originally from Burlington, KS, he won three consecutive state titles with Blue Valley Northwest while earning Mr. Kansas Basketball and Kansas Gatorade Player of the Year honors his senior year.

Braun was then a star for the Kansas Jayhawks, winning a national championship under Bill Self his junior year before being selected by the Nuggets with the 21st overall pick in the NBA Draft.

In securing his fifth title in the last seven years, Braun became one of Kansas’ all-time winners last night. Denver is favored to win next year’s NBA Finals as well, meaning Christian’s legend is just beginning.

After becoming a critical part of head coach Michael Malone’s playoff rotation, the energetic, bouncy wing has already cemented himself as one of the greatest basketball players to ever come out of the state of Kansas.

The scary part for the NBA? It looks like he’s just getting started.
