The Kansas Jayhawks Win by a Close Margin over the Oklahoma Sooners
By Lucas Murphy
The Kansas Jayhawks went on the road to Norman, Oklahoma, to face off against the Sooners. This basketball game was not going to be easy for either team, and we are finding out how good the Big 12 truly is. This game was a must-watch as it would come down to the final seconds as the Jayhawks would win 67-64.
Kansas would go 27-out-of-57 (47.4%) from the floor and shoot 8-out-of-17 (47.1%) from the 3-point line, which is a season-best on the road. The Jayhawks would turn the basketball over 13 times compared to only 11 times from the Sooners. This is going to be an area for improvement each game as the team gets later into the season. Turnovers often lose crucial games and are something you want to avoid when the March Madness tournament starts.
Jalen Wilson Played Impressive for the Kansas Jayhawks
Redshirt-sophomore Jalen Wilson played an incredible game against the Sooners. He would shoot 6-out-of-10 from the floor and 2-out-of-5 from the 3-point line. He scored a game-high 16 points, adding eight rebounds and two assists. He played 35 minutes and has now scored in double figures for KU in four games this season. Wilson is starting to heat up which will be good for the remainder of the season.

The Kansas Jayhawks Put Their Depth on Display
The Jayhawks were able to get 15 minutes from Remy Martin, who had been dealing with an injury. He was 1-5 from the floor scoring two points. A key takeaway from this game was that it is a team effort and depth is needed to be successful in the Big 12. Players get fatigued and even injured, and it almost becomes the next-man-up mentality. Head coach Bill Self and his staff have developed a tremendous system for when this occurs.

Agbaji also started in his 94th consecutive game and has played in 100 games for the Jayhawks. With his 200th career 3-pointer, Agbaji is 8th all-time, which ties him with Terry Brown.
