The Kansas City Chiefs and the Los Angeles Chargers played one of the best football games this season on Thursday, December 16th. The two teams battled for four quarters as the Chiefs would win 34-28 in overtime. After such a hard-fought win, the team would have ten days to recover from injuries. Chris Jones, Josh Gordon, and Willie Gay could also get healthy and return from Covid protocol.

The Kansas City Chiefs Have 14 Players on Reserve/COVID 19 List

This could end up being wishful thinking as the NFL has had a league-wide outbreak, and players are being placed onto the reserve/Covid 19 list. The Kansas City Chiefs now have 14 players on reserve/Covid 19 list heading into a game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Pittsburgh Steelers are coming off of a huge 19-13 win against the Tennessee Titans. This win kept the hopes alive for the Steelers players and their fans. Currently, the Steelers only have defensive tackle Montravius Adams on the reserve/Covid 19 list.

Which Kansas City Chiefs Players Were Added to the List?

The list would, unfortunately, grow substantially since the Chargers game. As listed above, defensive tackle Chris Jones, wide receiver Josh Gordon and linebacker Willie Gay missed Week 15 and have remained on the list. On Monday, December 20th, the team would add tight end Travis Kelce, kicker Harrison Butker, and cornerback Charvarius Ward. Since Monday, the list grew significantly as linebacker Nick Bolton, offensive tackle Lucas Niang, cornerback Rashad Fenton, tight end Blake Bell, guard Kyle Long, safety Armani Watts, wide receiver Gehrig Dieter and wide receiver Tyreek Hill.

The NFL Could Take Action to Help the Kansas City Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs have taken a mighty blow due to the pandemic as they recently took over the No. 1 seed in the AFC playoffs. With three games remaining on the schedule, Kansas City hoped to win out and hold onto that No. 1 seed giving them a home-field advantage. The NFL sprung into action during week 15, extending games out until Tuesday. If more Chiefs players get added to the list, the hope is the NFL would do the same for this game.
