The Kansas City Chiefs head to Las Vegas to take on the Raiders. Every time I say Raiders, the voice of Chris Berman echoes in my ears. A significant matchup for both of these teams as the playoff picture is being painted. The AFC does not have a definitive clear-cut team taking the lead. On Thursday Night Football, the Baltimore Ravens fell to the Miami Dolphins 22-10. A crucial upset as the Baltimore Ravens held the No.2 seed in the playoff race. For KC, a win could propel them to the top of the AFC West division. Three keys could secure a Chief’s victory.

The Chiefs Defense Applies Pressure on Derek Carr

The Kansas City Chiefs defense has started to ramp up their play. Frank Clark has demonstrated he is healthy. According to Pro Football Focus, in the last two weeks, Clark had a 90.2 PFF Grade (2nd among all Edge Defenders). He has an 86.9 Pass Rush Grade (5th) and 3 QB hits (t-1st). Chris Jones is playing defensive tackle again. In 2018 Jones recorded 15.5 sacks as a defensive tackle and has played his best football at the position. Derek Carr has been sacked 18 times in 2021. If the defense forces Carr to make errant throws then KC should come back with a victory.
