The Missouri football team is on the road and the Tigers are getting set to take on the Boston College Eagles.

For the second time this season, the Missouri football team is on the road and looking for a win. But last time the Mizzou Tigers took to the road, they fell short in Kroger Field and lost against the Kentucky Wildcats.

This time, Missouri is looking to defeat the Boston College Eagles. The Tigers are facing an interesting challenge in  Boston College. The Eagles are unbeaten after three weeks of play and their offense is pretty impressive so far.

Through their first few games, against the likes of Colgate, UMass, and Temple, Boston College is averaging 41.3 points per game while racking up an average of 406.3 total yards of offense per game. All in all, that’s not bad and is something the Tigers will have to account for.

Boston College hasn’t played many games so far this season, so the sample size is still pretty small, but the Eagles have a stout defense to go along with that fairly potent offense. The Eagles have held their first three foes to 10.3 points per game and 256.3 total yards of offense per game.

That said, the Missouri Tigers will offer up a more explosive offense than what Boston College has seen so far. The Tigers have averaged 40.3 points per game against the likes of Central Michigan, Kentucky, and Southeast Missouri State. Mizzou is also averaging 513.7 total yards of offense per game.

But, while Boston College is fairly balanced, Missouri’s defense hasn’t been all that great through the first few weeks of this season. The Tigers have been gashed routinely, giving up 29 points per game and 455.7 total yards of offense per game.

Mizzou can theoretically win this one, but it’ll likely be a fairly high scoring contest if the Tigers are going to come out on top.
