The Kansas City Chiefs travel to Baltimore this Sunday to face the Ravens. Which Baltimore players will play a key role in the game’s outcome?

The Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens have long been a quality matchup, no matter the trajectory of each team. Since the debuts of quarterbacks Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson though, it is often regarded as a marquee matchup. The 2021 regular-season meeting certainly is getting the treatment, airing on Sunday Night Football.

While the Ravens are popular underdog picks over the Chiefs, history sides with Kansas City. Baltimore has not beaten Kansas City since 2012, in a 9-6 snoozefest. Both teams have had an MVP quarterback and Super Bowl win since then, and Kansas City looks ahead of Baltimore in many facets of the game. The Chiefs lead the all-time series 7-4 and will look to make it 8-4 following Sunday’s matchup.

The Kansas City Chiefs are currently 3.5-point favorites over the Ravens, in a week after Kansas City narrowly beat the Cleveland Browns and Baltimore lost to the Oakland Raiders in a thrilling overtime game.

While the Ravens have home-field advantage at M&T Bank Stadium, they are certainly coming into Week 2 with a litany of injuries. Key players such as left tackle Ronnie Stanley and cornerback Marlon Humphrey were hobbled in practice this week, not to mention several players lost to assorted injuries for the season.

These injuries leave glaring holes for Baltimore to fill and Kansas City to exploit. Beyond the injuries though, some Ravens flashed potential to cause the Chiefs problems this week. Who can impact, both on the stat sheet and off, Sunday’s game?
