Kansas State football: Nevada Wolf Pack favored over Wildcats
By Ethan Lee
After struggling against a vastly inferior opponent, the Kansas State football team is an underdog against the Nevada Wolf Pack.
The Kansas State football team is unbeaten after two weeks. The Wildcats ran over, through, and around the Stanford Cardinal. So why on earth aren’t the Wildcats favored in their upcoming game against the Nevada Wolf Pack? It’s especially odd when one considers that Kansas State is set to host the Wolf Pack in this game.
Well, that’s likely because the Wildcats completely stumbled in their most recent game against the Southern Illinois Salukis. Kansas State only managed to beat the Salukis 31-23 at home.
And because of that, oddsmakers don’t seem to have much confidence in the Wildcats anymore.
So, despite the fact that this game is in Manhattan and Kansas State is the bigger name school here, Nevada is currently favored over the Kansas State football team by two points, according to WynnBET. Per WynnBET, oddsmakers have the currently have the over/under at 50 points.
Kansas State football: Wildcats are an underdog against Nevada Wolf Pack
The Kansas State Wildcats, in theory, have enough talent to be able to take care of the Nevada Wolf Pack.
This should be a game that Kansas State wins with ease. But that was certainly the case with the Southern Illinois Salukis when the Wildcats hosted them last week and, as we saw, K-State definitely didn’t handle them with ease.
So the Wildcats can’t afford to take this game as a given. Kansas State can’t look past the Wolf Pack. This is a game the Wildcats have to take seriously. Otherwise, this time, they might actually lose against a lesser foe rather than escape with a win. But, should K-State come out on top of this game, the Wildcats will head into their match up with Oklahoma State at 3-0.
And regardless of how a team gets a win, a win is a win and that’s all that matters at the end of the day.
