The Nebraska football team can’t overlook the Buffalo Bulls this week as the Huskers prepare for the Oklahoma Sooners.
It never hurts to build momentum before facing a monumental opponent. That’s especially true when your team has to go on the road and play a national title contender. This week, Scott Frost and the Nebraska football team have a chance to get another win before facing the Oklahoma Sooners.
But as intimidating and daunting as that trip to Norman can be, Nebraska can’t look past its opponent for this week. If they do, the Huskers could easily get caught up in a trap game. Now, the Buffalo Bulls are far from being the best team ever, but they are a potential threat.
And as the Huskers know from their miserable road trip to Illinois, this particular Nebraska football team isn’t good enough to take any foe for granted. Otherwise the Huskers could end up with a frustrating loss.

This is a game that the Huskers should be able to win with ease, in theory. But this is in practice. This is an actual event. It’s not theoretical. And the Buffalo Bulls, even with a new head coach who has replaced Lance Leipold, are a threat to take down more talented foes who have bigger name brands.
So the Nebraska football game should not simply take this game as a win. This should be treated as a test for the Huskers before they face Oklahoma.
