The start of the 2021 Missouri football season is here and the Tigers are a solid favorite over Central Michigan.

The 2021 Missouri football season keeps getting closer. The Mizzou Tigers will start the year off at home with a foe that they should be able to handle: the Central Michigan Chippewas.

The Tigers are still a work in progress as they enter their second season with Eliah Drinkwitz as their head coach, but oddsmakers believe they’ll be able to get a decent win over Central Michigan this week.

According to WynnBET, the Missouri football team is a 14.5 point favorite over the Central Michigan Chippewas. Given the difference in talent between the two rosters, that sort of spread seems fair.

Oddsmakers are expecting a fair amount of points to be scored by these two teams. According to WynnBet, the over/under is currently set at 60.5 points. The over/under for Missouri is currently set at 37.5 points.

Missouri Football: Tigers expected to win over Central Michigan

It’s interesting that the spread for this game isn’t larger than it already is. Mizzou has started to show that it has plenty of potential. We should see just how good the Tigers can be this season and hopefully we’ll get glimpses of that this Saturday.

Missouri should be able to come in and take care of business against Central Michigan. The Tigers have a considerably more talented roster than the Chippewas and that alone should lend itself to a relatively easy win to start the season.

We’ll see if the Tigers can do that and start 2021 off with some momentum.

The Central Michigan Chippewas and the Missouri football team will start the 2021 season when they play Saturday, Sept. in Columbia. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. The game will be broadcast on the SEC Network.
