The first 2021 NFL Preseason game for the Kansas City Chiefs happens to be a rematch of Super Bowl LIV, which has to be a good omen for this coming season, right?

The Chiefs are fresh off of a strong season that saw them return to the Super Bowl. Even though they didn’t win a second-straight championship, the Chiefs were solid all season long. During the regular season last year, Kansas City went 14-2 and then made a run in the playoffs, beating the Cleveland Browns in the Divisional round and then thumping the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship.

While things went great for Kansas City last year (that Super Bowl loss not included), San Francisco happened to have a really rough season. The 49ers only managed to go 6-10 and finished 4th in the NFC West, failing to make it to the playoffs.

Now the two teams are set to meet again.
