USA Today Coaches Poll reveals 2021 preseason top 25
By Ethan Lee
How did Missouri do in the 2021 preseason USA Today Coaches Poll? Did Nebraska, Kansas State, or Kansas receive any votes?
We’ve finally got some preseason college football rankings! Tuesday morning, the 2021 preseason USA Today Coaches Poll was released.
The top five teams in the poll shouldn’t shock anyone at all.
Alabama claimed the top overall spot and had the vast majority of the No. 1 votes. Behind the Crimson Tide sit the Clemson Tigers at No. 2, though they didn’t receive any No. 1 votes. Oklahoma grabbed third in the poll (and also had a couple of first place votes) while Ohio State entered in at fourth. Georgia rounded out the group at No. 5.
What is a bit interesting is the team that was ranked No. 6: Texas A&M Aggies.
With a 9-1 record last season, Jimbo Fisher’s team looked very respectable in 2020 and it seems that some believe the Aggies are going to continue to be one of the better teams in the SEC (and the country) moving forward.
