Could Mike Minor draw any interest?

Many believe Danny Duffy will be traded next, but I believe he will stay with the Royals.  With the unknown of Duffy’s injury the Royals will not be able to capitalize on their return for Duffy, and I believe he will stay a Kansas City Royal.

Duffy has been rumored to be getting interest from the competing teams in the NL West.  The Dodgers, and Giants seem to the front runners.  Duffy is having one of the best seasons in his career.  Just an unfortunate injury has placed him on the IR twice now.

A trade I believe will occur, and is a lefty starting pitcher is Mike Minor.  In the month of July Mike Minor has started 4 games pitched 22 innings and has gone 2-2 in that stretch.  Of the four starts only once Minor did not go 6 innings.  Minor spent some time with the Athletics, and the Rangers before returning to the Royals in his second stint.

GM Dayton Moore was aware of Minor when they both were with the Atlanta Braves organization.

Minor will eat some innings, and has had success from the bullpen in his career which is lucrative to someone for a lefty in the pen. Minor provides a competing team with veteran experience, and the ability to eat innings late in the season for a playoff team trying to get healthy.
