Travis Kelce is primed for another remarkable year with the Kansas City Chiefs. Madden seems to agree.

Heading into the 2021 season, the Kansas City Chiefs are expecting big things out of talented tight end Travis Kelce. A key part of Kansas City’s offense and quite possibly the best tight end in the NFL, Kelce looks to have another dominant season with the Chiefs this year.

The folks over at EA Sports who have been working to set up Madden 22 seem to agree as they rated Kelce and placed him in the exclusive “99 club.”

That’s right, Kelce will have a 99 overall rating on Madden 22 as the Kansas City Chiefs gear up for the start of the upcoming season. That’s a pretty difficult overall rating to get, but it’s not a shocker that Kelce earned it.

While some would make the argument that he’s not the best tight end in the NFL, it’s hard to find reasons to rank others above him.

On top of the sheer talent that Kelce has, he will consistently be in a position to show off his skills with the Chiefs, a position many tight ends would likely envy. Given the offense he plays in, expect Kelce to rack up plenty of yards and score a few touchdowns.

Kansas City Chiefs: Travis Kelce makes it into Madden’s “99 club”

Kelce has always been a productive contributor for the Kansas City Chiefs, but he was particularly spectacular as the Chiefs made their run to the Super Bowl last season. In 15 regular season games, Kelce caught 105 passes for 1,416 yards and scored 11 touchdowns.

On top of that, he was a consistently reliable pass catching option as he recorded a 72.4 catch percentage in the regular season last year.

In the playoffs, Kelce caught 31 passes for 360 yards and three touchdowns. He upped his catch percentage to 77.5 percent as the Kansas City Chiefs made it to the Super Bowl. That’s pretty good.

It stands to reason that Kelce will continue to be a solid factor for the Chiefs this year as well. The folks over at EA Sports are expecting that as well.
