Under new leadership, the Kansas football team is set for a ton of new changes. Which Jayhawks will have a breakthrough season because of that?

The Kansas football team will be fresh, and raw, but with some anxious excitement around them as they enter the season with new KU Head Coach Lance Leipold taking over for Les Miles.

Lance has displayed success at his previous schools, and even going to seven Division III National Championships winning six of them at Wisconsin-Whitewater.

This will be a new challenge for the Head Coach along with his staff as they incorporate a new playbook to the program.  New players get accustomed to their teammates, and honestly some simple goals should be put into place.

Kansas football: Which Jayhawks are set up to have a breakthrough season in 2021?

If we are being honest the entirety of the program is primed for a breakthrough in 2021, this football program has struggled since the 2007-2008 season when they went to the Orange Bowl and surprised everyone by beating Virginia Tech.

Since that time the football program has lacked consistency, a coaching staff, and support.  This season represents a fresh start for a new coaching staff, really a year that some key characteristics can begin to establish.

With that being said I think 3 players could be primed to have a breakthrough season in 2021.
