No. 9: Tyreek Hill is primed for yet another big season in 2021

The Kansas City Chiefs have many quick and talented playmakers on their offense, but it’s hard to overstate the value that Tyreek Hill brings to this team. It’s also hard to find other wide receivers who are scoring threats at any given moment they have the ball the same way Hill is.

Hill, known for his impressive speed and absurd ability to escape from defenders and get out in to the open field, has been a versatile part of the Kansas City Chiefs’ offense ever since he joined the team back in 2016.

In three of those seasons (2017, 2018, and 2020), Hill has caught at least 100 passes and had at least 1,000 receiving yards. In total, in five seasons, Hill has 5,391 receiving yards and 47 touchdowns to his name.

Looking specifically at the playoffs, Hill has been a significant contributor to the Kansas City Chiefs when his team needed him to step up. He’s played in 10 playoff games in his career and in those 10 games Hill has caught 61 passes for 796 yards and a couple touchdowns.

Hill was a particularly reliable target for Patrick Mahomes in the Chiefs’ 2020 run to the Super Bowl when the talented receiver caught 24 passes (a career high in the playoffs for Hill) for 355 yards (also a career playoff high).

Heading into 2021, it’s fair to expect that he’s going to have another great season.

The Chiefs still have a talented offense and there are plenty of other weapons to keep opposing defenses from trying to simply lock in on Hill.
