Day 2 targets for the Kansas City Chiefs

1. Joseph Ossai, EDGE (Texas)

I mentioned earlier that the Chiefs have a need for a linebacker and Joseph Ossai would give them one of the best options available at this point in the draft. Ossai is a very good tackler, having notched 145 of them with 29 of those being for loss over the past two years. He’s also recorded 10.5 sacks during that time as well.

The Chiefs have struggled to put a consistently good pass rush on the field the past few years and Ossai gives them another scary name to pair with Chris Jones, Frank Clark, and newcomer Jarran Reed. Ossai is a realistic name that could be available to select late in the second round and he’s the prospect I’d most like to see Kansas City take with one of their two Day 2 picks.

The Kansas City Chiefs have two picks on Day 2 and both are in the second round. They could make some moves and somehow get into the third round but for now, they’ll be done once the second round wraps up.
