Day 2 targets for the Kansas City Chiefs

3. Nick Bolton, LB (Missouri)

Nick Bolton once seemed like a lock to go in the first round, but he’s slid down draft boards in the weeks leading up to the draft. Bolton has the speed to fit in well with a defense and he was a tackling machine for the Missouri Tigers.

Bolton had over 100 tackles for Missouri in 2019 and collected 95 tackles despite playing in two fewer games this past year. The Chiefs’ defense hasn’t been great at tackling and Bolton would be a quick fix to that solution.

It’s also worth noting how big of a need linebacker is for the Chiefs. Bolton is a local product, having played college ball just two and a half hours from Kansas City, and could pack a major punch for this defense. He should be available when KC is on the clock and that makes him one of the more realistic targets on this list.
