With the 23rd pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, the New York Jets select…

. Center. New York Jets. Landon Dickerson. 23. player. 30

Jets GM: John

The Jets had the draft card ready to select Greg Newsome only to see him come off the board the selection prior. With no other corner worth the spot, they instead look to Landon Dickerson, the Alabama center, hoping he along with 2020 first-round pick Mechti Becton help hold down the line for the rookie QB. Expect the Jets to look for defensive back help along with a running back on Day 2.

Staff Reaction: It’s important for the Jets to give Zach Wilson what they didn’t give Sam Darnold if they want him to succeed. That includes making sure he has a good offensive line in front of him and spending two of their past three first-round picks on offensive linemen is a good way to start. – Leigh

With the 24th pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers select…

Pittsburgh Steelers. Alijah Vera-Tucker. 24. player. 55. . Offensive Guard

Steelers GM: Leigh

The Steelers have a lot of different positions to look at here. Running back was definitely a consideration, but ultimately, they go with the best player available. Alijah Vera-Tucker gives them a versatile option along their offensive line, which needs a lot of fine-tuning.

Staff Reaction: While this isn’t the pick I’d make as the Steelers’ GM, it’s clear they went with the best available player here. Vera-Tucker offers versatility and could play just about anywhere on their line. – Kole
