With the 21st pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, the Indianapolis Colts select…

Indianapolis Colts. Kwity Paye. 21. player. 46. . EDGE

Colts GM: Kole

This seemed like an obvious pick for the Colts, as Kwity Paye is a top 15 talent but found his way to Indianapolis by sliding to pick 21. Paye is an immediate starter for the Colts and will be a big piece on a team that looks to take over the AFC South in 2021 and beyond.

Staff Reaction: I’m sure the Colts cried a bit when the Lions selected Zaven Collins one spot ahead of them, as he’d have been an ideal pick at 21. However, with him off the board, the Colts select the versatile defensive lineman in Paye. Perhaps a year away from truly contributing, Paye will be a solid rotational lineman for the Colts as a rookie, and hopefully able to step in for the newly signed Isaac Rochell. – John

With the 22nd pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, the Tennessee Titans select…

player. 35. . Cornerback. Tennessee Titans. Greg Newsome II. 22

Titans GM: Cullen

Very nearly went with Minnesota wide receiver Rashod Bateman here as the Titans lost a combined 106 receptions for 1,423 yards and 13 touchdowns with the departures of Corey Davis and Jonnu Smith.

Tennessee, however, also lost cornerback Adoree’ Jackson in free agency, and this draft is deeper at wide receiver than cornerback. Plus, Newsome is regarded more highly by some outfits (PFF among them) than Caleb Farley, already off the board here. He’s a stellar replacement for Jackson who’ll start in Week 1.

Staff Reaction: Newsome falling this far seems odd, but the Titans aren’t complaining. They get a new cornerback who can make some major noise in their secondary. – Kole
