Kansas City Chiefs: Prospects from smaller schools

Milton Williams, DL, Louisiana Tech

The Kansas City Chiefs appear to have struck gold with L’Jarius Sneed in the 2020 NFL Draft and maybe they can go back to Louisiana Tech again in the middle rounds for another defender. In this case, defensive lineman Milton Williams, who could rejoin his former teammate in Kansas City and play alongside him once again.

Perhaps best a 3-4 defensive end, the 6’3″, 280-pound defensive end possesses a lot of really intriguing tools and potential a team like the Chiefs could use. Because of his size and play strength, Williams could really help to replace and fill the spot vacated by Tanoh Kpassagnon, who signed with New Orleans this offseason.

Depth at strong-side defensive end and interior, Williams is the type of mid-round type player that likely never puts up flashy stats, but if used properly, can find a role in the NFL, and possibly with the Chiefs. He’s someone the Chiefs should be eyeing on Day 3 of the draft if they aren’t already.
