Realistic Wide Receiver Options for KC Chiefs

2. Terrace Marshall Jr. (LSU)

The top two options were tough to rank and quite frankly, I’d be fine with the Chiefs taking either one of them in the first round. If the Chiefs went with Terrace Marshall Jr. at No. 31 overall, they’d have themselves a legitimate red-zone threat, which is something they haven’t really had in recent years.

Marshall played for the LSU Tigers and totaled 23 touchdowns over the past two seasons, including 10 this past year in a shortened season (just seven games). He had 48 receptions for 731 yards in those seven games. The previous year (which was when LSU won the National Championship) saw Marshall rack up 671 yards and 13 touchdowns with Joe Burrow as his quarterback.

Any of the quarterbacks listed here would give the Chiefs their No. 2 wide receiver, but Marshall would be a true threat in the red zone and the Chiefs desperately need that. The fact that he gobbled up 10 touchdowns in just seven games shows what kind of effect Marshall can have in an offense.

If teams want to cover Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce, then Terrace Marshall is going to eat instead and the Chiefs would be just fine with that.
