Realistic Wide Receiver Options for KC Chiefs

4. Dyami Brown (North Carolina)

Before we dive in, let me say this — Dyami Brown shouldn’t be the Chiefs’ first-round pick. If they’re going to take the wide receiver out of North Carolina, they should look to do so in the second round whether that’s by trading out of round one or taking him at pick 63 (but he might not make it that late in the second round).

Brown is definitely someone who could pack a punch in the Chiefs’ offense, as he’s capable of playing both outside and from the slot. He recorded back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons at North Carolina, finishing this past season with 1,099 yards to go along with eight touchdowns. He had 12 touchdowns and 1,034 yards the previous year.

Brown is the kind of player the Chiefs would love to replace Sammy Watkins with and be their new No. 2 wide receiver, but he’s not first-round pick worthy. If he’s there late in the first round (and he should be), the Chiefs might be tempted to take him, but hopefully, if anything, they trade out of round one to get him instead.

Dyami Brown is above Rondale Moore on my list because he has stayed healthy and it’s led to two consecutive 1,000-yard seasons. He’d be a thrill to watch in this Chiefs offense.
