Ranking Kansas City Chiefs realistic draft targets

No. 3: Terrace Marshall Jr., WR (LSU)

This is where things start to get a little more difficult as far as ranking the positions go. As was the case with Little, Terrace Marshall Jr. lands where he does on this list mostly due to the fact that he’d be available in the second round if the team wanted to move down.

Peter Schrager of NFL.com (and notorious Chiefs lover) mocked Marshall to Kansas City in his latest writeup. Schrager has praised Patrick Mahomes since he got to Kansas City, so it’s no wonder Schrager wants to give him another fiery weapon.

Marshall combined for 23 touchdowns the past two seasons (including 10 in the shortened 2020 season) and would give the Chiefs a legitimate red-zone threat. I wouldn’t be upset about the Chiefs drafting this kid at all but I’d definitely rather they wait until the second round to do so.

The Chiefs need a WR2 though, so if they’re on the clock at pick 31 and Marshall is at the top of their draft board, it’d be really hard for them to pass up on adding him to their arsenal of weapons.
