KC Chiefs Mock Draft 5.0

Round 4: Pick 136 – Walker Little, OT (Stanford)

. Offensive Tackle. Cardinal . Walker Little. 136. player. 871

The Chiefs get another outright steal in this mock draft, as talented Stanford tackle Walker Little plunges to the fourth round and Kansas City is there to swoop him up. Remember when I was discussing how the Chiefs needed to find a tackle but didn’t want to reach? This is why teams shouldn’t reach and let the board fall how it may.

Mock Draft. Chiefs Find Left Tackle of Future. light

With Little, the Chiefs get a stud option at left tackle, which is the position they’ve been needing to address the most. Little would give them their left tackle of the future, but there are some concerns with him (hence why he fell to the back end of the fourth round).

Little suffered a knee injury in Stanford’s season opener in 2019 and didn’t return to action that season. Then, in 2020, he opted out of the Cardinal’s season due to COVID-19. So, to sum up, Little hasn’t played in a live-action football game since Sept. 2019.

That’s obviously risky, especially when the Chiefs would plan to have him at left tackle. It’d probably be safer to have a free agent option at left tackle just in case Little needs more fine-tuning, but it’d be hard to be upset with potentially landing their left tackle of the future in the fourth round.
