KC Chiefs Mock Draft 5.0

Round 3: Pick 94 – Ben Cleveland, OG (Georgia)

. Offensive Guard. Bulldogs . Ben Cleveland. 94. player. 814

Ideally, the Chiefs would have landed a tackle by this point in the draft, but unfortunately, in order to do so, they’d have to reach. They do add an offensive lineman in the third round, however, and it’s Ben Cleveland out of Georgia.

Cleveland mostly played right guard at Georgia and obviously, as we all know, the Chiefs have plenty of options there for this season. Laurent Duvernay-Tardif is returning after having opted out last year and the Chiefs also signed Kyle Long to a one-year deal.

Well, neither of those guys played football in 2019, so Cleveland would have a leg up over his competition. He’s someone who is really good at just about everything when blocking and would make an excellent addition to the Chiefs’ o-line.

The only issue fans might have with this is that the team doesn’t have an immediate need for a right guard, but that might not necessarily be the case.
