Positions KC Chiefs don’t need to address in draft

Kicker

This is one that people are going to roll their eyes at and say “Duh” but it’s not uncommon for teams to draft kickers. In fact, not too long ago, the Buccaneers took one in the freaking second round.

That being said, the Chiefs are good to go at kicker. Harrison Butker might have had some struggles last year, but he was still clutch from long distances and went 25-of-27 on field goal attempts. He definitely struggled from short distances, especially on extra-point attempts, finishing the year 48-of-54.

Even with the struggles, Butker is the Chiefs’ kicker in 2021 and the foreseeable future. If the team did decide to bring in a replacement option, however, doing so with an undrafted free agent would be the best route to go in.

The Kansas City Chiefs are set at quarterback, running back, defensive tackle, and kicker. They might still look to add depth at these positions, but even then, they’re in good spots here and shouldn’t spend one of their eight draft picks on these positions.
